  2. DECC clarifies exemption of good quality CHP from 400MW biomass cap to CHPA

    DECC would like to stress that CHP plants that achieve full or partial certification under the CHP Quality Assurance (CHPQA) programme are permanently exempt from the recently announced 400MW biomass cap.

    After much delay, recent key government policy announcements are providing more certainty about the route towards zero carbon. Part L of the 2014 Building Regulations, which concerns energy in new homes, will require a 6 percent carbon emission reduction over 2010. Non-domestic buildings will be expected to save 9 percent.
