Do you want to help the UK meet its Net-Zero target? The energy sector is undergoing rapid change and a decentralised energy system will be instrumental in ensuring we meet our carbon reduction goals. The Association for Decentralised Energy (ADE) is seeking a Membership Officer to help support our work on delivering the policy changes that are critical for achieving the transformation we need in our energy system.
The ADE is the UKs leading decentralised energy advocate, focused on creating a more cost effective, efficient and user-orientated energy system. Decentralised energy is one of the most exciting areas of the energy sector and our members cover a wide range of market participants, from industrial manufacturers, energy providers, local authorities, and the wider energy market supply chain. The Association is growing to meet increasing member needs, and this presents an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to help us create a lower carbon, better value, and less wasteful energy system.
We are looking for a creative, enthusiastic, and commercially aware person who can assist our Head of Business Development in growing our business. The role will include helping to recruit new members, managing a member database, assisting with the Association’s events, conferences and forums and working groups and working closely with our internal policy, communications and research teams.
The office is an exciting and dynamic place to work, engaging with industry leaders and decision makers at the forefront of energy policy, helping to shape the future energy market. You will enjoy engaging within a small office team as well as across a wide number of external stakeholders.
Excellent communication skills are essential for this role. We are looking for someone with an outgoing personality who is confident talking to a range of stakeholders both in face to face meetings and over the phone. Being able to maintain and strengthen relationships with members and stakeholders will be a key task of this role.
At the ADE we believe that we succeed by having happy, motivated people and we will support and invest in a successful candidate. There will be plenty of opportunity for advance for the right candidate. In exchange we look for proactive team players who are ready to deliver on behalf of our members.
