Centre for Sustainable Energy

The Centre for Sustainable Energy (CSE) is an independent national charity, working to tackle climate change and end the misery of cold homes across the UK.

We deliver practical work to support households and communities to take action on energy, alongside original research to inform local and national policy.  

CSE’s Research team has particular expertise in: buildings and energy systems data analysis; renewable energy and low carbon technologies; energy demand reduction; and consumer energy behaviour. Our THERMOS project has developed open-access tools and provides support for planning heat networks.
