Providing design and strategy services that have a wide application in the built environment and beyond, our disciplines include masterplanning, aviation, offshore wind, district heating, waste to energy, oil and gas, as well as the full suite of engineering consultancy services.

In the UK, Ramboll has mainly assisted other consultants as specialist advisor and as peer reviewer. RAMBOLL has worked as a consultant within the field of EfW for more than 40 years and has been involved in the planning and implementation for the same number of EfW projects. In many of these, the preparation of waste strategies or waste management plans has been essential. The company has also prepared a Decision Makers’ Guide to Municipal Solid Waste for the World Bank.

We are famed for signature projects in the UK such as London’s Tate Modern and Scotland’s Queensferry Crossing, as well as supporting renowned projects internationally such as the E-ELT in Chile, the Jeddah Masterplan in Saudi and Fehmarnbelt Fixed Link in Denmark.

We are universally regarded as one of the most experienced district heating consultants in the world and one of the very few offering a full range of services.

District cooling
Since the turn of the century Ramboll has provided specialist services to the district cooling sector. The first assignments were closely linked to our work for district heating companies, but this has gradually developed to more comprehensive district cooling consultancy. Today, we are internationally regarded as a highly competent and reliable partner for all types of district cooling projects.
