The ADE is delighted to welcome HR Wallingford as their newest member.
HR Wallingford is an independent engineering and environmental hydraulics organisation, which has more than 70 years of experience in both physical and numerical modelling. They are an independent, not-for-profit organisation that reinvest its profits into strategic research.
The organisation is now introducing in the UK its district heating and cooling software tool, which has its origins as a bespoke design for the Italian market. The sophisticated planning software can create energy simulations that quickly return the distribution of flow rates, pressures, temperatures and heat losses over entire complex networks.
In Italy, HR Wallingford’s tool is now used with excellent results by six of the largest district heating utilities. It can be used in network planning by infrastructure owners or contractors in designing new networks or optimising existing systems by analysing their performance.
The ADE is looking forward to working with HR Wallingford to support their transition into the UK sector. As the UK heat networks sector grows, it is great to see companies such as HR Wallingford bringing innovative technologies and software to market, as well as international expertise and case studies. The ADE is pleased to play a key role in helping to develop the sector.
