This series, hosted by Regen, is a month of events running from 26 Oct – 26 Nov, exploring how, as a sector, we can create the jobs and investment the economy desperately needs, as we work towards a more sustainable future.
The government has committed to rebuild a "cleaner, greener and more resilient" economy as the UK works to recover from the impact of the pandemic. There is an opportunity in the coming months to put the energy transition at the heart of national recovery plans, stimulating the economy, creating sustainable jobs, and tackling the climate crisis.
Measures such as the Green Homes Grant have been introduced and a series of key plans are due to be announced including an Energy White Paper, measures on electric vehicles and a national heat and building strategy.
As the government develops plans for the economic recovery, this webinar series will bring together key players in the energy transition to explore how, as a sector, we can create the jobs and investment the economy desperately needs, as we work towards a more sustainable future.
Schedule of talks include:
- Green Recovery Leaders Interview with Fiona Howarth, CEO, Octopus EV
- Green Recovery Leaders Interview with Declan Burke, director of clean power strategy, BEIS
