24/01/25| ADE Briefing | Proposed Directions to Elexon about reporting on Market-wide Half-Hourly Settlement (MHHS) implementation and about managing MHHS Testing cohorts.
Following delays at the end of 2024, Ofgem will be delivering a series of measures to prevent the further delay of Market Wide Half Hourly Settlement (MHHS). This includes a range of additional reporting requirements that will be the responsibility of Elexon as the MHHS Implementation Manager. Requirements proposed in the consultation include:
Testing and qualification reports every two weeks.
A readiness report against the M10 (the point at which Central Systems (BSC central systems, registration, DCC and communication systems) will be ready to initiate migration of MPANs to the new MHHS arrangements) deadline every month.
Two M10 checkpoint reports, one in March and one in June.
Further reporting on migration and qualification activities every two weeks, post the M10 deadline.
Reporting on migration and how overall timelines could be sped up, following 40% of MPANs having been successfully migrated.
