Suneel joined our Executive Board in 2022 after a number of years of engagement as a member with particular interest in all things Industrial Energy and CHP. In his time involved with The ADE, Suneel has participated in and led the Strategy Board and continues to Chair the Industrial Energy Forum.
Today, as part of Future Biogas’ Commercial team, Suneel is engaging with potential offtakers of unsubsidised biomethane and biogenic CO2 from new BECCS sites as they pursue their decarbonisation goals. Previously, Suneel was investigating the decarbonisation of sugar factories across the UK and also headed up a team managing a £0.5bn multi-site energy portfolio for a diversified international food, ingredients and retail group (FTSE 100) which included gas import/export, electricity import/export, solid/liquid fuels, and CO2 emissions.
Outside of work, Suneel is a Corporation Board Member (i.e. Governor) for the Inspire Education Group, a successful provider of further and higher education with two main campuses in Cambridgeshire and Lincolnshire. His passion for sport includes both participation—these days touch rugby and swimming—and watching, one of which justifies his enjoyment of cooking.
