Sarah Honan appears on ESNZ Committee Inquiry - 'The Cost of Energy'

On Wednesday 21 January, ADE’s Head of Demand, Sarah Honan, appeared before the Energy Security and Net Zero Committee (ESNZ Committee), alongside Flexitricity's Chief Strategy Officer, Dr Alastair Martin, and Professor Jacopo Torriti, for an inquiry on 'The Cost of Energy'.

From RESPs and the Capacity Market to skip rates, the demand-side flexibility panel of the session was comprehensive and necessary. The panel clearly set out both the significant benefits of demand-side flexibility and the practical barriers that still need to be addressed.

For decades, consumers have been the passive observers to the whims of large generation and networks. This revolution is about pushing consumers to the heart of the system, working around them and their needs.
